I. Japanese Student Organization
Objective: Professional development for graduate students in the Steinhardt School of Education at NYU
Members: Graduate students in the School of Education at NYU, who are: 1. Japanese, or 2. speakers of Japanese as the first language
Annual fee: $10 (From September 2001)

II. JSO: Division of the Department of Teaching & Learning
Objectives: Professional development for graduate students in the Department of Teaching & Learning Build up gconnections
Members: Graduate students in the Department of Teaching & Learning, who are: 1. Japanese, or 2. speakers of Japanese as the first language
Activities: Make a membership list ? Issue a newsletter (twice a year) ? Offer information (at any time) - Conference - Job opportunity -Opportunity for teaching experience (e.g. TA, tutoring, conversation partner, etc) - Cultural events ? Share ideas and materials - Recent academic research - Related professional / academic issues Assist Japanese language / culture events in NY, etc.
Meeting: Once a semester
